Dreary Down Days.

Everyone experiences times in life that seem so dreary that you have no idea how you’ll make it through the day. Sickness may come upon you, finances stress you out, relationships fall apart, loved ones mistreat you, or your dreams come crashing to the ground. You may even lose a loved one . . . but through it all, you are never alone. Before you decide you can’t take it anymore, STOP and pray for strength. Resist the temptation to wallow in bitterness and anger while blaming God for your troubles. The Bible gives hope in 1 Corinthians 10:13: “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” God is telling you that you can win this battle! He is right there beside you to guide, comfort, and help you through. Oftentimes it is through our darkest, dreariest days that we truly come to understand what a friend we have in Jesus. Never lose faith, hold on to hope, and trust in God . . . always! Text: Romans 5:3-4, Deuteronomy 31:8, Psalm 34:18, Ecclesiastes 7:14
