Heavenly Father, In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we lift up John Appicella to You right now. Lord, You see him in the hospital, and You know the seriousness of what he is facing. Nothing about this moment is hidden from You. Father, we ask that Your presence fill John’s hospital room at Sloan Hospital. Let Your peace surround him and Your comfort rest upon his heart. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing hand to touch his body. If it is Your will, bring restoration and strength to him even now. But Lord, above all, we thank You that John belongs to You. He believes in Jesus Christ, and Your Word promises eternal life to those who trust in Your Son. Let him feel the nearness of Your Spirit, removing fear and filling him with confidence in Your promises. Give him peace that passes all understanding. Let him know that he is not alone, that You are with him in this moment, holding him and sustaining him. Surround him with Your love and the assurance of Your salvation. Father, we also pray for his family and loved ones. Comfort them, strengthen them, and remind them of the hope that we have in Christ. Whether in life or in eternity, John is secure in Your hands.
