I hear the Spirit of the Lord grieving over a church that has become expert at **REBRANDING SIN.**
We have a generation of believers who are spiritually rotting, yet they walk around smelling like the cheap cologne of self-justification. You have taken the raw, ugly works of the flesh—things the Bible says will bar you from the Kingdom of Heaven—and you have given them cute nicknames.

We live in the era of "Self-Love" and "Authenticity." But biblical authenticity is not being true to your *sinful nature*; it is being true to the *New Nature* Christ died to give you!
**Jeremiah 17:9** says: *"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"*
Your "natural personality" is fallen. It is corrupted. If you are leaning into your "natural tendencies" as an excuse to hurt people, hold grudges, or fly off the handle, **you are worshipping your trauma and your temperament, not the King of Kings.**
### 2. THE EXPOSITORY AUDIT: TEARING OFF THE LABELS
Let’s look at the "Perfume" vs. The "Flesh" according to **Galatians 5:19-21** and **James 3**.
**THE PERFUME:** "I’m just blunt. I don't fake it. I speak my mind."
**THE FLESH:** **Lack of Taming the Tongue.**
**James 1:26**: *"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain."*
Your "bluntness" is often just brutality wrapped in pride. Truth without love is not a spiritual gift; it’s an assault weapon.

**THE FLESH:** **Control and Pride.**

**THE FLESH:** **Selfishness and Isolation.**
**Proverbs 18:1**: *"Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom."*
Sometimes we call it "boundaries" when it’s actually "bitterness." If your "peace" requires you to ignore the needs of the Body of Christ, you are not protecting your spirit; you are feeding your flesh.
**THE PERFUME:** "I just worry because I care so much."
*THE FLESH:** **Unbelief.**
**Philippians 4:6**: *"Be careful for nothing..."*
Worry is not a sign of love; it is a sign that you do not trust God to be God. It is atheism in practice.

Paul was ruthless about this. He didn’t say, "Work on your bad habits." He said:
**Romans 8:6-8**: *"For to be carnally minded is death... Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."*
**ENMITY.** That means **ENEMY.**
When you defend your bad attitude by saying, "That's just how God made me," you are calling God the author of your sin! **BLASPHEMY.** God made your temperament; sin twisted it into toxicity. The Holy Spirit comes to redeem your temperament, not excuse your toxicity!

Does your life smell like Jesus (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience)?
Or does it smell like YOU (Drama, Strife, Ego, Chaos)?
### 4. THE SOLUTION: THE FUNERAL
You don't need anger management. You don't need a personality test. **YOU NEED A FUNERAL.**
**Galatians 2:20**: *"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me..."*
You cannot cast out the flesh. You cannot bind the flesh. **You have to STARVE IT and KILL IT.**
Every time you want to snap back—**DIE.**
Every time you want to gossip—**DIE.**
Every time you want to sulk—**DIE.**
Sanctification is the process of stripping off the "Perfume of Personality" until the only thing people smell when you walk in the room is the Incense of Heaven.

I am challenging you to stop cuddling your carnality. The Holy Ghost is a Refiner's Fire, not a spa treatment. He wants to burn the "You" out of you until only Christ remains.
