Everyone saw a giant. But David saw an opportunity for God to show His power. The army of Israel stood in fear as Goliath, a giant warrior, challenged them day after day. He was strong, experienced, and heavily armed. His voice echoed across the battlefield, mocking the people of God. No soldier dared to fight him because the battle looked impossible. Then a young shepherd named David stepped forward. He wasn’t a trained warrior. He had no heavy armor, no sword, and no shield. All he had was a sling, five small stones, and an unshakable faith in God. While others saw the size of the giant, David remembered the faithfulness of God who had helped him defeat lions and bears while protecting his sheep. David looked at Goliath and boldly said, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty.” With courage and faith, David ran toward the giant.
