Stop people-pleasing
You said yes when you meant no. People-pleasing is costing you your voice.
You said yes when you meant no.
Again.
You bent yourself to fit their expectations. You stayed quiet to keep the peace. You twisted into someone you're not just to be accepted.
People-pleasing feels like kindness.
But it's costing you your voice.
You are not responsible for everyone's comfort. You are responsible for your integrity.
TODAY IS ENOUGH
"Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."
Galatians 1:10 (NIV)
You can't serve God and everyone else's opinion at the same time.
People-pleasing isn't humility. It's fear.
Fear of rejection. Fear of disappointing them. Fear of not being enough.
But God didn't create you to be liked by everyone. He created you to be faithful to Him.
The moment you live for their approval, you lose yourself.
Stop bending. Stop shrinking. Stop apologizing for being who God made you to be.
A SIMPLE PRAYER.
God, I've been more worried about pleasing people than pleasing You. Forgive me for losing myself in their expectations. Give me the courage to say no when I need to. Teach me that being faithful to You matters more than being liked by them. Help me stop shrinking. Amen.
P.S – Where are you people-pleasing right now? Who are you bending yourself for?
