**PROPHETIC WARNING: BRING THE KNIFE TO THE ALTAR**
** THE ALTAR OF THE EGO: ISAAC MUST DIE, AND SO MUST YOUR EARTHLY AMBITIONS **
**STOP SCROLLING.** I am not here to motivate you today. I am not here to bless your "hustle." I am here to officiate the funeral of your flesh.
I feel the Holy Ghost burning with a jealousy over His people. The modern church has become an incubator for narcissism baptized in spiritual language. We have filled our prayer journals with "Five-Year Plans," "Vision Boards," and "Strategic Goals," and we have the audacity to ask the Holy God of Israel to sign off on *our* agendas.
**HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD:**
**God is not a Consultant for your career. He is the CAPTAIN of your soul.**
And tonight, He is demanding that you take your "Isaac"—your dream, your ministry, your business, your reputation, your carefully curated future—and **LAY THE KNIFE TO ITS THROAT.**

### 1. THE EXPOSITORY TRUTH: THE TEST OF MORIAH
Look at **Genesis 22:2**:
*"And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, **whom thou lovest**, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering..."*
Abraham waited 25 years for Isaac. Isaac was the promise. Isaac was the miracle. Isaac was "proof" that God was faithful.
**But Isaac had become a threat.**
Whenever the *gift* begins to occupy the throne of your heart reserved for the *Giver*, the gift becomes an idol.
God didn’t ask Abraham for Ishmael (his mistake). He asked for Isaac (his miracle).
**God will not just test you with your sins; He will test you with your successes.**
He is asking you today:
*"Do you love the vision more than the Visionary? Do you love the platform more than My Presence? Do you love the promise more than the Provider?"*

We have a generation of believers who are terrified of obscurity. You are obsessed with "impact," "influence," and "legacy." You have mapped out exactly where you want to be by 2030.
**Proverbs 19:21**: *"There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand."*
**James 4:13-14** mocks your five-year plan:
*"Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow..."*
**Your ambition is an enemy to the Cross.**
Why? Because ambition says, *"I will ascend."* The Cross says, *"I will descend."*
Ambition says, *"I will build a name."* The Cross says, *"I will lose my life."*
If your future is planned without a blank check handed to the Holy Spirit, **YOU ARE IN REBELLION.**
You are worshipping a version of yourself that hasn't even happened yet. That is the **Altar of the Ego.**
### 3. THE KNIFE MUST BLEED
Abraham didn't just "pray about" giving up Isaac. He bound him. He laid him on the wood. He took the knife. **He fully intended to kill the thing he loved most because He feared God more than he feared loss.**
**Luke 14:26** (The verse we skip):
*"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and **his own life also**, he cannot be my disciple."*
**The Knife of the Spirit** is painful.
It severs your attachment to outcomes.

It bleeds out the pride that says, *"I have to be someone."*

Here is the prophetic mystery: **You only get to keep what you have truly surrendered.**
When Abraham lifted the knife, the Angel of the Lord stopped him. God provided a Ram. Abraham received Isaac back—not as an idol, but as a testimony.
**Galatians 2:20**: *"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live..."*
When you kill your ambition on the altar, God resurrects it as **DESTINY.**
* Ambition opens doors for *you*. Destiny opens doors for *Christ*.
