**PROPHETIC BROADCAST: THE CROSS IS NOT A METAPHOR — IT IS A MASSACRE OF THE FLESH**
** CRUCIFIXION IS NOT A METAPHOR: BLEEDING OUT YOUR SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS **
I am writing this under the heavy hand of the Almighty. The Holy Ghost is weary of a church that wears the Cross as jewelry but refuses to lay down on it as an altar.
We have sanitized the slaughter. We have turned "Taking up your Cross" into a cute Christian catchphrase for dealing with a difficult boss or a bad traffic jam.
**YOU ARE DECEIVED.**
Crucifixion is not a metaphor for "having a hard day."
Crucifixion is an **EXECUTION.**
Crucifixion is **VIOLENT.**
Crucifixion is **FINAL.**
God is trying to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, but He cannot fill a vessel that is already full of itself. I see a generation of believers who are stuffed to the brim with their own opinions, their own "goodness," and their own religious pride.
**HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD:**
**You must bleed out before you can be filled up.**
### 1. THE EXPOSITORY REALITY: THE FLESH MUST DIE, NOT BE MEDICATED
**Galatians 2:20**: *"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me..."*
Paul did not say "I am coached by Christ" or "I am improved by Christ." He said **CRUCIFIED.**
To be crucified means:
1. **You have no future plans of your own.** (A man on a cross isn’t planning his retirement).
2. **You have no rights.** (A man on a cross cannot defend himself).
3. **You do not come down until you are dead.**
We have a church full of people who "climb up" on the cross on Sunday and crawl down on Monday to live for themselves. **THAT IS NOT DISCIPLESHIP. THAT IS A HOBBY.**
God is not interested in making your flesh "better." He doesn't want to teach your flesh manners. He wants to KILL IT. He wants to crucify your need to be right, your need to be recognized, and your need to be in control.
### 2. THE DIAGNOSIS: THE POISON OF SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS
**Isaiah 64:6**: *"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags..."*
Some of you are not filled with the Holy Ghost because you are too full of your own "holiness."
You think because you don't drink, smoke, or chew that you are entitled to the glory of God.
**LISTEN TO ME:** Your self-righteousness is a stench in the nostrils of God!
The Pharisee went to the temple and said, *"God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are..."* (**Luke 18:11**). He was full.
The Tax Collector beat his chest and said, *"God be merciful to me a sinner."* He was empty.
**Who went home justified?** The empty man.
God cannot pour New Wine into a cup that is already filled with the vinegar of pride. You have to dump it out!
### 3. THE LAW OF SPIRITUAL DISPLACEMENT
**2 Kings 4:6**: *"And it came to pass, when the vessels were full... the oil stayed."*
**THE OIL STOPS WHEN THE VESSEL IS FULL.**
This is a spiritual law. The Holy Spirit is a Gentleman; He will not force His way into a heart that is occupied by the idol of Ego.
If you are full of:
* Your theology...
* Your reputation...
* Your past victories...
* Your "brand"...
* Your offense...
**THERE IS NO ROOM FOR GOD.**
You are wondering why the heavens are brass? It's not because God is reluctant. It's because you are **FULL.**
You must BLEED OUT. You must let the ego die. You must let the offense drain away until there is a hollow space in your soul that screams, *"GOD, IF YOU DON'T FILL ME, I AM NOTHING!"*
