THE QUIET WORK OF GOD IN OUR LIVES.

Before Esther ever spoke to the king, before the turning point that saved her people, THERE WAS A QUIET TRUTH ALREADY AT WORK behind the scenes: GOD WAS ALREADY POSITIONING EVERYTHING FOR DELIVERANCE.

Esther was a young Jewish woman living in a foreign empire. She did not have political power. She did not have status. She was an orphan who had been raised by her cousin Mordecai. Yet somehow SHE FOUND HERSELF PLACED IN THE PALACE of the most powerful king in the world. From the outside it looked like chance, but Scripture reveals something deeper. GOD WAS ALREADY ARRANGING CIRCUMSTANCES LONG BEFORE THE CRISIS APPEARED. Esther 4:14 says, “And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

What is beautiful about this moment is that GOD’S FAITHFULNESS WAS ALREADY MOVING before Esther even understood the full story. The same is true for us today.

Because of the finished work of Jesus Christ, God is not reacting to our life. He is not scrambling to fix things after they go wrong. Through the cross and resurrection of Jesus, OUR LIFE HAS ALREADY BEEN BROUGHT INTO HIS GRACE and PURPOSE.

Ephesians 2:10 that we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

LONG BEFORE we arrived at today, GOD HAD ALREADY PREPARED THE PATH.

Esther had moments of fear. She had moments where she did not know what would happen next. GOD’S PLANS ARE NOT FRAGILE. They do not depend on our perfection. THEY DEPEND ON HIS FAITHFULNESS. And the greatest proof of that faithfulness is Jesus. THROUGH THE CROSS, GOD HAD ALREADY DECLARED HIS HEART TOWARD US.

Romans 5:8 says, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

OUR STANDING WITH GOD TODAY DOES NOT DEPEND ON OUR PERFORMANCE or OUR STRENGTH. IT RESTS ON WHAT JESUS HAS ALREADY FINISHED.

That means even in seasons where we feel unsure, unseen, or unqualified, God has not forgotten us. Just like Esther, we may not see the whole picture yet, but HEAVEN IS NEVER DISORGANIZED. The Father who gave His Son for us is also guiding our steps.

The story of Esther reminds us that GOD CAN PLACE ORDINARY PEOPLE IN EXTRAORDINARY MOMENTS. But the finished work of Jesus gives us an even deeper rest. We do not have to strive to earn our place in God’s plan. IN CHRIST, WE ALREADY BELONG IN HIS HOUSE, ALREADY LOVED, ALREADY ACCEPTED, ALREADY PART OF HIS STORY.

So today, if we feel small or unsure, remember Esther. And even more, remember Jesus.

The same GOD WHO POSITIONED ESTHER in the palace HAS POSITIONED US in His grace. And the same GOD WHO DELIVERED HIS PEOPLE then is STILL WORKING IN OUR LIFE TODAY. Nothing we are facing has caught Him by surprise. Because of Jesus, our life is already held in the hands of a faithful Father.
