PASTOR MURDER CASE: A man accused of killing an Arizona pastor whose body was found posed like a crucifix is asking a judge to speed up the case so he can receive the death penalty.
Prosecutors say Adam Sheafe, 51, killed 76-year-old Pastor William “Bill” Schonemann inside his New River home and pinned his hands to a wall.
In court Thursday, Sheafe complained the process was taking too long, telling the judge, “We’re dragging this out,” while asking to be sentenced to death.
