The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8 NKJV

One thing we must know about life is that anyone can change. People change for the better or the worse depending on their circumstances.

For mindset to change we need a foundational process to take place. In Christianity the change happens under the supervision and direction of the Holy Spirit. This process is powered by the word of God.

The Holy Spirit does not make you a better you. The Holy Spirit makes you a new you. Totally different from the one they knew, that is why when you encounter God people cannot relate with what you have become.

This is the process we call being born again. Nicodemus had a tough time understanding this topic because it went against all that he was taught and the vast knowledge he had acquired.

Nicodemus knew that Jesus was a teacher sent from God but the theology he was taught could not be reconciled with Jesus being The Messiah. There was no room for accommodating Jesus in the Theology of the Pharisees.

For Nicodemus choosing Jesus Christ meant that he had to give up all the theology he had accepted to be true for something that he could not relate with. It was a risk he was not willing to publicly take.
What Nicodemus failed to do after his one on one encounter with Jesus Christ, Paul was willing to do in a flash. Paul gave up all his theology in just one encounter with Jesus Christ.

Both Paul and Nicodemus where Pharisees. However whilst Nicodemus cared for what the public would say about him, Paul didn't.

Many people today are prisoners of group beliefs, they sacrifice divine revelation in order to maintain membership or friendship with a particular group, friends or family.

The life of a Born again believer is like that of the wind. It's difficult to understand. So those who are impatient judge the believer by his past whilst those who are religious judge the believer by their own theology.

There is no freedom without change. There is no real change without the Holy Spirit. Freedom comes at a cost. You have to give up your status quo in order to get to your new desired destination. Blessings
