**PROPHETIC INDICTMENT: THE TREASON OF SELF-PRESERVATION**
** JESUS SAID HE WHO SAVES HIS LIFE SHALL LOSE IT. HOW YOUR SURVIVAL INSTINCTS ARE SPIRITUALLY STARVING YOU **
I am writing this from the furnace of prayer, with a spirit that is grieved by the anemic, spineless, safety-obsessed condition of the modern Church. We have raised a generation of believers who are experts at **SURVIVING** but have no clue how to **SACRIFICE.**
You are protecting yourself. You are guarding your heart (in the flesh, not the Spirit). You are hoarding your energy, your money, your reputation, and your time. You call it "wisdom." You call it "prudence."
**GOD CALLS IT TREASON.**
**Hear the Word of the Lord:**
The Kingdom of God is not built by those who play it safe. It is built by those who spill their lives out like wine upon the altar. Your obsession with self-preservation is not keeping you alive; it is slowly starving your spirit to death!
### 1. THE EXPOSITORY TRUTH: THE PARADOX OF THE KINGDOM
**Matthew 16:25**: *"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it."*
This is not a suggestion. This is the **CONSTITUTION OF THE KINGDOM.**
The logic of Hell says: "Hoard. Protect. Defend. Survive."
The logic of Heaven says: "Spend. Pour out. Surrender. Die."
When Jesus says "save his life," He is talking about the **Psyche** (the soul)—your will, your emotions, your intellect, your right to self-determination.
Every time you choose your comfort over His command, you are "saving your life." And in that very act, Jesus says **YOU LOSE IT.**
You lose the anointing. You lose the power. You lose the intimacy. You are left with a safe, comfortable, withered soul.
### 2. THE IDOL OF SAFETY: YOUR SURVIVAL INSTINCT IS AN ATHEIST
Your flesh is wired for survival. It screams, *"If I give this away, I won't have enough!"* or *"If I forgive them, they will hurt me again!"* or *"If I go there, I might die!"*
**Your survival instinct does not believe in the Resurrection.**
It acts as if this life is all there is. It acts as if God is not a Provider. It acts as if the grave is the end.
**Revelation 12:11**: *"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and **they loved not their lives unto the death**."*
The devil cannot defeat a man who is already dead.
Satan has no weapon against a woman who has no self-preservation instinct left because she has given it all to Jesus.
But as long as you are trying to "survive," the enemy can manipulate you with fear. **Fear is the currency of self-preservation.**
### 3. THE SPIRITUAL STARVATION
**John 12:25**: *"He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal."*
Why are you spiritually starving? Why is there no fresh revelation? Why is the heavens brass?
**BECAUSE YOU ARE FULL OF YOURSELF.**
You are stuffed with your own plans, your own safety nets, and your own backup options.
God cannot fill a vessel that is sealed shut with the wax of fear.
* You won't give sacrificially, so you starve your finances of the supernatural.
* You won't love vulnerably, so you starve your relationships of glory.
* You won't step out in faith, so you starve your destiny of miracles.
**You are "safe," but you are empty.**
Is that the trade you want to make? A comfortable coffin?
### 4. THE PROPHETIC REBUKE: THE CALL TO RECKLESS ABANDON
We need the spirit of **Esther**: *"If I perish, I perish!"* (**Esther 4:16**)
We need the spirit of **Paul**: *"Neither count I my life dear unto myself!"* (**Acts 20:24**)
We need the spirit of **Epaphroditus**: *"Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life..."* (**Philippians 2:30**)
God is looking for **DANGEROUS** Christians.
He is looking for people who have signed a blank check with their lives.
He is looking for people who have realized that **Self-Preservation is Rebellion** because it says, *"I can take care of myself better than God can."*
**REPENT OF YOUR SAFETY.**
Repent of your backup plans.
Repent of the walls you built to keep pain out, which are now keeping God out.

I am calling for a violent shift in your spirit tonight. I am calling you to commit Treason against your Flesh and Allegiance to the King.
