If you live in the Midwest, I am sure you are looking out of your window, checking the calendar, and saying … “Huh?” There is this white stuff all over the ground. Not just a powder. Not just cover, but … ICK! I am trying to decide if Mother Nature is encouraging me to stay home (retirement) or telling me this is her tantrum for me to stay. Apparently, she did not watch me raise my kids … haha.
Saturday, work started a bit sketchy but ran smoothly. Yesterday started smoothly, and then stupid exploded. Today I predict a smooth explosion of YES. Whatever it may consist of it is going to be today. It is not going to be Saturday. It is not going to be yesterday. It will be today. Now, the key to having a today without the influence of the past is choosing to treat today as today and not yesterday. After an explosion of the lack of common sense, as demonstrated yesterday, it is a difficult choice to make. The enemy wants me to hang on to that frustration and use it to feed my day. I refuse. Today is going to be a busy day. Today is going to be a productive day. Today is going to be its own day.
I would like to extend my day … of positive outcomes … to you today. I would like for you to join me on my walk through whatever the enemy has to throw at me and take pleasure in pressing those stones deep into the moistened ground as we enjoy the beauty of God’s presence in our lives. I have no time for the enemy today; my focus is on Him. How about you?’
