LET'S TALK ABOUT IT

THE SABBATH: FROM CREATION, TO THE SECOND COMING.

There is a common misconception that the Sabbath was "done away with" at the Cross. But if you look closely at the words of Jesus and the prophets, you’ll find that God never intended for His memorial of Creation to be forgotten—especially as we approach the end of time.

1. Jesus Expected It to Be Kept in the Future
In Matthew 24, Jesus describes the signs of His Second Coming and the trials His followers would face. He gave a very specific instruction:

"But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day." — Matthew 24:20

If the Sabbath was going to be abolished at the Cross, why did Jesus tell His followers to pray about keeping it decades (and even centuries) later? Jesus knew the Sabbath would remain a sacred boundary for His people right up until the very end.

2. A Sign for the Remnant
In the book of Revelation, the final conflict isn't over "social issues"—it's over worship. The dragon is wroth with the remnant who "keep the commandments of God" (Revelation 12:17). The first angel’s message in Revelation 14:7 calls the world to "worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea." This is a direct quote from the Sabbath commandment (Exodus 20:11).

The Sabbath is the "seal" that identifies the Creator. As the world falls under the "strong delusion" of man-made traditions, the Sabbath remains the test of loyalty for those waiting for Christ’s return.

3. We Will Keep It in the New Earth
The Sabbath doesn't even end when we get to Heaven! The prophet Isaiah gives us a glimpse into eternity after the Second Coming:

"And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord." — Isaiah 66:23

If we are going to keep the Sabbath with Jesus in the New Earth, why would we stop keeping it now?

THE FINAL QUESTION
If the Sabbath was kept at Creation, kept by Jesus, commanded to be kept during the end-time "flight," and will be kept in eternity... who gave anyone the authority to change it in between?

The Sabbath isn't a Jewish shadow; it is a permanent link between the Creator and His people. It’s time to move past the traditions of men and return to the "Lord of the Sabbath."
