I think I am going to start leaving a notebook near my bedside so that after I pray, I can write down all the neat things I think about to write on. I know I had several good ideas last night and ya know, I might remember one day…haha.
My work environment is much like the weather this week. Saturday’s prediction was a train wreck with a side of chaos, which ended in a sunny day. Monday was predicted as heavy rain (Monday mail), with just a spattering, and ended in a 5-car pile-up (late night). Tuesday was predicted as foggy (unknown mail volume) with a chance of snow (potential disgruntlement), ending in just a simple shower (small leak of protocol). Today is hump day, all cards are on the table because anything is possible, and I am leaving early. We have one wild card coming in to help, but he has been proving to be pretty good, so it should be a decent day.
You know what…I am declaring today as AWESOME. We have made it to the halfway point of the week. We are not in jail … or worse. WE are going to make a difference in today’s chaos by simply being His children. Nothing overcomplicated. Nothing super strenuous. Just a child of God. That is all He is asking of us anyway, “Follow Me”. We are the ones who complicate it … so today we are going to followers of Christ in the simplest of forms, let people know that they matter. A smile. A greeting. A weird, random joke to a stranger. A compliment. Light someone’s dimming candle today.
