CHOSEN, OBEDIENT, AND FAITHFUL!!!

GIDEON'S 300: CHOSEN OF GOD

Judges 7:2 NASB1995
[2] The Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are TOO MANY FOR ME to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, ‘My own power has delivered me.’

Early one morning, Gideon’s army stood by the river, ready to face the mighty Midianites. Thirty-two thousand men had gathered, yet GOD SAID, “THERE ARE TOO MANY.”

VICTORY WAS NOT TO BE COUNTED IN NUMBERS, BUT IN FAITH.

First, THE FEARFUL WERE SENT HOME. THOUSANDS LEFT, leaving only ten thousand. Still, God had a further test. At the river, GIDEON OBSERVED THE MEN DRINKING. Some knelt and drank straight from the water. OTHERS CUPPED IT IN THEIR HANDS, ALERT and WATCHFUL.

GOD’S CHOICE WAS CLEAR: ONLY THOSE WHO DRANK WITH AWARENESS—READY and ATTENTIVE—WERE CHOSEN. From ten thousand, only three hundred remained. THESE 300, SMALL IN NUMBER BUT MIGHTY IN FAITH, WERE GOD’S INSTRUMENT TO TRIUMPH over the Midianite army.

As dawn broke, mist curled over the river. Bronze armor glinted, shields and spears ready. HEARTS WERE STEADY, EYES FOCUSED. EVERY STEP, EVERY ACTION, EVERY BREATH OF THESE MEN TESTIFIED THAT VICTORY BELONGS not to human strength, but TO GOD’S POWER AND GUIDANCE.

IT'S NOT ALWAYS THE LARGEST, STRONGEST, OR LOUDEST WHO SUCCEED—IT’S THOSE WHO ARE CHOSEN, OBEDIENT, AND FAITHFUL.
