Trust is hard
Trust doesn't come easy after you've been let down. But holding back doesn't protect you.
Trust doesn't come easy.
Not after you've been let down. Not after things didn't go the way you hoped. Not after you gave your heart and it got broken.

Trust feels risky when you've been hurt before.
But holding back doesn't protect you.
You are not naive for trusting again. You are brave.

TRUST IS A CHOICE.

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Psalm 56:3 (NIV)

Notice David didn't say "when I feel safe." He said "when I am afraid."
Trust isn't the absence of fear. It's the decision to believe God anyway.
You've been disappointed before. Plans fell through. People failed you. Prayers went unanswered.

And now trust feels impossible.
But God isn't asking you to trust blindly. He's asking you to trust Him, specifically.
Not circumstances. Not people. Not outcomes. Him.
And He's never failed anyone who put their hope in Him.

A SIMPLE PRAYER.

God, trusting is hard. I've been hurt, disappointed, let down. It's easier to protect myself than risk again. But I don't want fear to keep me from You. Help me trust You, even when I'm afraid. Remind me that You are faithful, even when everything else isn't. Amen.

P.S. What's making trust hard for you right now? Past hurt? Current fear? Broken promises?
