**PROPHETIC INDICTMENT: THERE IS BLOOD ON THE PULPIT AND IT CAME FROM YOUR MOUTH**
** GOSSIP AS BLOODSHED: HOW YOU ARE MURDERING THE BRETHREN AND DIVIDING THE BODY UNDER THE PIOUS GUISE OF A "PRAYER REQUEST"**
The Holy Spirit is grieved. The heavens are brass over many of your assemblies. You cry out for revival, you fast for power, you sing until your voice is hoarse—yet the Glory does not fall.
**WHY?**
Because the Church has become a slaughterhouse.
We are not fighting the devil; we are too busy assassinating each other. We have exchanged the Sword of the Spirit for the dagger of the tongue.
**HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD:**
**Gossip is not a "small sin." Gossip is SPIRITUAL MURDER.**
And the most demonic form of this murder is the one you dress up in Sunday clothes and call a "Prayer Request."
### 1. THE ANATOMY OF A RELIGIOUS ASSASSIN
You know exactly what I am talking about.
You lean in close. You lower your voice to a "spiritual whisper." You put on a face of counterfeit concern.
*"We really need to pray for Brother Mike... did you hear what happened? I shouldn't say, but..."*
**STOP RIGHT THERE.**
You are not interceding; you are **GOSSIPING.**
You are not covering his nakedness; you are **EXPOSING IT.**
You are not bearing a burden; you are **BROADCASTING A SCANDAL.**
The Bible calls this being a **"Talebearer"** (Leviticus 19:16).
In the Hebrew, this word implies a merchant—someone who traffics in information. You are selling your brother’s reputation to buy a moment of attention for yourself. **IT IS SICK.**
### 2. THE EXPOSITORY TRUTH: WORDS ARE WEAPONS OF WAR
**Proverbs 18:21**: *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue..."*
We quote this for "manifesting blessings," but we ignore the first word: **DEATH.**
When you speak ill of a leader, a sister, or a brother behind their back, you are releasing literal death into the atmosphere.
* You kill their reputation.
* You kill their influence.
* You kill the unity of the Spirit.
**James 3:6**: *"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity... it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell."*
Did you read that? **SET ON FIRE OF HELL.**
When you gossip, your tongue is being lit by the flames of Gehenna. You become an arsonist in the House of God. You burn down what the Holy Spirit took years to build.
### 3. THE ABOMINATION OF DISCORD
God hates sin. But there is a specific list of things He **ABOMINATES** (detests with a holy nausea).
Look at **Proverbs 6:16-19**. The list includes:
* Hands that shed innocent blood.
* A false witness that speaketh lies.
* **AND HE THAT SOWETH DISCORD AMONG BRETHREN.**
God puts the gossip in the same category as the murderer!
Why? Because **Unity is the landing strip for the Glory of God** (Psalm 133).
When you sow discord through your "little comments" and "concerns," you are sabotaging the Anointing. You are preventing the Blessing from falling commanded by God.
**You are an enemy of the Move of God.**
### 4. THE SIN OF HAM: EXPOSING NAKEDNESS
Remember Noah? He got drunk and lay naked in his tent (**Genesis 9**).
Ham saw it. And what did he do? **He told his brothers.**
He gossiped. He exposed. And for that, his lineage was cursed.
Shem and Japheth? They walked in **BACKWARD**. They covered their father without looking at his shame.
**Where are the Shems and Japheths in the modern church?**
Where are the people who will cover a brother's fault with love instead of broadcasting it on the prayer chain?
**1 Peter 4:8**: *"For charity (love) shall cover the multitude of sins."*
If your first instinct is to tell someone else about a failure, **YOU DO NOT LOVE THEM.** You are using them as entertainment for your flesh

I am calling for a holy hush to fall upon the church. I am calling for the repentance of the loose tongue.
**IF YOU CANNOT SPEAK LIFE, SHUT YOUR MOUTH.**
** YOUR ACTION PLAN FOR REPENTANCE:**
1. **THE AUDIT:** Who have you spoken against in the last 7 days? Repent before God.
2. **THE APOLOGY:** Go to the person you gossiped *to*. Tell them: *"I was wrong to share that. I was spreading poison. Please forgive me and forget what I said."* (Do not go to the victim unless necessary; do not cause more pain).
3. **THE EAR GATE:** Refuse to be a trash can for other people's garbage. When someone says, *"Did you hear about..."* — **STOP THEM.** Say, *"I don't need to know. Let's pray for them right now, or let's stop talking."*
4. **THE PRAYER:** Pray for the person you want to gossip about. You cannot hate someone you are truly interceding for.
