** THE ARROGANCE OF TOMORROW: WHY PUTTING OFF YOUR REPENTANCE IS A DIRECT DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST GOD **

There is a spirit of slumber that has seduced the modern church. It is a demonic lullaby that whispers, *"You have time. You can get right later. You can fix that sin next week. You can surrender when you’re older."*
**YOU ARE LISTENING TO THE HISS OF THE SERPENT.**
**HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD:**
**Delayed obedience is immediate disobedience.**
To tell God "Tomorrow" is the highest form of arrogance a human being can commit. It is to look the Sovereign of the Universe in the eye and say, *"I am the god of my own time. I control the sunrise. I decide when I bow."*
**THIS IS TREASON.** And tonight, the axe is laid to the root of your procrastination.
### 1. THE THEOLOGY OF PRESUMPTION: YOU DO NOT OWN TIME
**James 4:13-14**: *"Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."*
We treat time like it is a commodity we have stocked in the pantry. You think you have 40 years left? **YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE 40 SECONDS PROMISED TO YOU.**
Your next breath is a gift of grace, not a constitutional right.
When the Holy Spirit convicts you of sin—whether it is lust, bitterness, pride, or prayerlessness—and you say, *"Not yet, Lord,"* you are presuming upon the patience of God.
**Romans 2:4**: *"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"*
To wait is to **DESPISE** His patience. It is to treat the Blood of Jesus like a backup plan for when you are done having your "fun" with sin. **GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED.**
### 2. THE GOD OF "I AM," NOT "I WILL BE"
God revealed His name to Moses as **"I AM"** (Exodus 3:14). He exists in the Eternal Now.
He is the Sovereign of **TODAY.**
The devil is the lord of **TOMORROW.**
Every time you push your holiness to "tomorrow," you are stepping out of God's jurisdiction and into the enemy's territory.
* "I'll forgive them tomorrow."
* "I'll break the addiction tomorrow."
* "I'll start praying tomorrow."
**TOMORROW IS THE GRAVEYARD OF GOOD INTENTIONS.**
Tomorrow is the trap door to Hell.
If you cannot bow to Him in the "Now," you are in rebellion. Faith is always present tense. Repentance is always present tense.
**Hebrews 3:7**: *"Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith), **To day** if ye will hear his voice..."*
### 3. THE DANGER OF THE HARDENED HEART
Here is the terrifying spiritual reality: **The longer you wait to repent, the harder it becomes to repent.**
**Hebrews 3:13**: *"But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."*
Sin has a cementing effect.
The first time you ignore the conviction of the Holy Spirit, it hurts.
The second time, it's uncomfortable.
The hundredth time? **You feel nothing.**
**1 Timothy 4:2** calls this having a conscience *"seared with a hot iron."*
You aren't just gambling with your death date; you are gambling with your *ability to feel God.* You are risking a condition where the Holy Ghost speaks, and you are chemically unable to care.
**DO NOT LET THE CEMENT DRY.**
### 4. THE PROPHETIC REBUKE: THE RICH FOOL
Jesus told a parable about a man who built bigger barns for his future, securing his comfort for "many years."
**Luke 12:20**: *"But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee..."*
**THOU FOOL.**
That is what God calls the procrastinator.
Not "Thou busy man." Not "Thou distracted man." **FOOL.**
Because you bet your soul on a calendar you didn't write.
