DISCOVERY OF TWO GIANT SHARKS, IN MAMMOTH CAVE KENTUCKY.

Deep beneath the forests of Kentucky, a dramatic reminder of the global Flood has come to light. On February 1, 2024, Mammoth Cave National Park announced the discovery of two new fossil shark species preserved in limestone far from any ocean. Troglocladodus trimblei and Glikmanius careforum each stretched about 10 to 12 feet long, and their remains were found deep inside the world’s longest cave system. This is not millions of years of slow change. It is exactly the kind of rapid burial and preservation expected from the catastrophic waters described in Genesis.

The first fossil tooth of Troglocladodus trimblei was discovered in 2019 by Park Superintendent Barclay Trimble during a survey. Later, members of the Cave Research Foundation unearthed Glikmanius careforum, complete with rare cartilage structures. That kind of preservation is almost unheard of unless burial is rapid and oxygen-poor. The cave system has now yielded fossils from more than 70 species of fish, all entombed in water-deposited limestone. This is consistent with massive Flood-driven sediment layers that swept marine life far inland.

What makes this discovery even more remarkable is its location, hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean and deep inside a cave network. This stands in direct opposition to the idea of slow, gradual deposition over vast ages. Instead, it points to a single overwhelming event that transported, buried, and sealed these sea creatures away from decay. Mammoth Cave is not only the longest cave system on Earth.
