Samson was not weak. He was chosen. Set apart from the womb. Marked by a Nazirite vow (see Judges 13). Anointed with supernatural strength. But hereâs the tension, you can be called by God and still drift from God. And drift is quiet. No alarms. No thunder. Just small compromises that feel harmless until they arenât. He entertained what he should have eliminated. He lingered where he should have fled. He gave his attention to someone who did not honor his consecration.

Judges 16:17 âHe told her all his heart.â Not just his hair. His heart. Thatâs the real tragedy. Because when you expose what is sacred to someone who doesnât honor God, you donât just lose information you lose alignment. You lose discernment. You lose strength you didnât even realize was leaving.
Scripture says after his hair was cut, âð¡ð ðð¢ð ð§ðšð ð€ð§ðšð° ðð¡ðð ðð¡ð ððšð«ð ð¡ðð ð¥ððð ð¡ð¢ðŠâ (Judges 16:20). This should shake you. Imagine being in a place where you think youâre still strong but Godâs presence is no longer with you the same way. Thatâs what unguarded compromise does. It numbs you. It blinds you before the enemy ever does.
ðððŠð¬ðšð§ ðð¡ðšð®ð ð¡ð ð¡ð ððšð®ð¥ð ð¬ð¡ðð€ð ð¡ð¢ðŠð¬ðð¥ð ðð«ðð ð¥ð¢ð€ð ððððšð«ð. ðð®ð ðð¡ð¢ð¬ ðð¢ðŠð ð¡ð ððšð®ð¥ðð§âð. ðð§ð ð¬ðšðŠð ðšð ð²ðšð® ð€ð§ðšð° ðð¡ð¢ð¬ ðððð¥ð¢ð§ð . ððšð® ð®ð¬ðð ððš ð©ð«ðð² ð°ð¢ðð¡ ðð¢ð«ð. ððšð° ð¢ð ðððð¥ð¬ ððšð«ððð.

Because the Gospel doesnât leave people in ruin. It meets them there. Samson lost his eyes. Lost his strength. Lost his dignity. ðð®ð ð¢ð§ ðð¡ð ðŠð¢ððð¥ð ðšð ð¡ð¢ð¬ ð¥ðšð°ðð¬ð ð©ðšð¢ð§ð ð¡ð ðð¢ð§ðð¥ð¥ð² ðð¢ð ð°ð¡ðð ð¡ð ð¬ð¡ðšð®ð¥ð ð¡ðð¯ð ððšð§ð ðð«ðšðŠ ðð¡ð ððð ð¢ð§ð§ð¢ð§ð . ðð ð©ð«ðð²ðð.
Judges 16:28: âO Lord God, please remember me and please strengthen me only this onceâŠâ ð¡ðŒ ðœð²ð¿ð³ðŒð¿ðºð®ð»ð°ð². ð¡ðŒ ðœð¿ð¶ð±ð². ðððð ð±ð²ððœð²ð¿ð®ðð¶ðŒð». ðð»ð± ððŒð± ð®ð»ððð²ð¿ð²ð± ðµð¶ðº.

Not cheap grace that ignores sin but powerful grace that meets repentant hearts. Samsonâs final act wasnât seduction. It was surrender. We all have âsecretsâ God entrusted to us: Your purity. Your calling. Your prayer life. Your private obedience.
