ANTICHRIST’S ORIGIN
Daniel 9:26 gives us a clue about Antichrist’s origin. It says, in part, that “the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.” The “people” who destroyed the city (Jerusalem) and the “sanctuary” (the temple) were the Romans. They destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in AD 70. This verse says that “the prince who is to come” is from those people—that is, the Romans, meaning he will most likely be of Roman/Western European origin.
