In Revelation 13:12-15, we read three times that the false prophet’s power will come from the Antichrist. And where does the Antichrist get his power? In verses 2-8, we are told multiple times that his power will come from the dragon, Satan himself. With this power, the false prophet will be able to
•perform great signs and call fire down from heaven (verse 13)
•command an image of Antichrist be built (verse 14)
•give breath to that image so people would worship it (verse 15)
•convince people to take Antichrist’s mark on their right hand or forehead (verse 16)
