THE GOOD NEWS OF GOD'S GRACE

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
Acts 20:24

We often spend so much of our energy trying to build our own kingdoms and protect our own comfort. It is easy for us to get caught up in our personal goals, our reputations, and our daily to-do lists, sometimes losing sight of the bigger picture. But here we see a powerful shift in perspective.

Our lives find their true meaning not in what we accumulate or achieve for ourselves, but in how we serve the mission of Jesus. We are all running a race, and the ultimate goal isn't to reach a worldly finish line of success, but to faithfully complete the task of sharing the incredible news of what God has done for us.

The task we have all been given is a beautiful one: testifying to the good news of God’s grace. We aren't called to testify to our own goodness or our own perfect track records. Instead, we are witnesses to the kindness of a God who reaches out to the undeserving. This takes the pressure off us to be the heroes of our own stories.

We simply get to point others toward the grace that has saved us, sustained us, and given us hope. When we make this our primary aim, our daily struggles and sacrifices start to look different. They become opportunities to show the world that God’s grace is more valuable than life itself.

Today, let’s ask ourselves what it looks like to finish the race well. We may not all be traveling the world like the apostle Paul, but we all have a sphere of influence where we can testify to God's goodness. Whether we are at home, at work, or in our communities, we have the privilege of showing others the grace we have received.

Let’s live with the courage that comes from knowing our lives are in His hands. When we align our aim with His purpose, we find a joy and a peace that the world can’t take away.

God bless you!
