The Word is alive. The Word is life.

As I was praying, I saw a person sitting with their Bible open, fully engaged in what they were reading. It wasn’t casual or distracted their heart was leaning in. And as they read, a light began to shine from the pages.

At first it was gentle, almost like a flicker. But the more they read, the brighter it became. The light began to wrap around them, like a spiral moving upward, surrounding them completely. Until suddenly, the whole room was filled with light.

This is what happens when we truly engage with the Word of God. It is not just ink on a page. It is living, active, and full of divine light. As we open our hearts to it, revelation increases. What once seemed ordinary becomes illuminated. What once felt unclear becomes alive with understanding.

Then I saw something shift.

From the Word began to flow rivers of living water not just a trickle, but an abundant, continuous flow. It was no longer only about what the person was receiving, but what was now flowing out from them.

The Word does not just fill us it overflows from us.

As they continued reading, a round loaf of bread appeared, resting on the Bible, surrounded by light. Then sheaves of wheat formed over it. There was a deep sense of provision, nourishment, and process.

The Word sustains us. It feeds the deepest places of our soul. But it also forms us. Just as wheat is crushed to become bread, there are seasons where God uses His Word not only to comfort us, but to shape us. And in that process, something life giving is produced.

Then flames appeared over the Word like tongues of fire.

This was not just knowledge. This was the Spirit of God igniting the Word, making it burn within the heart. The Word became alive in a new way purifying, empowering, awakening.

And then I saw a Lion.

He stood behind the person strong, present, and watchful. As He roared, everything shifted. The one who had been sitting and reading was now clothed in armour. Strength covered them. Authority rested upon them.

And in their hand appeared a sword.

The sword came from the Word.

This is what happens when we abide deeply in Scripture. We are not just informed we are transformed. We are not just comforted we are equipped. The Word becomes our weapon, our strength, and our authority.

The Lion of Judah stands behind those who stand in His Word.

This is an invitation.

To come back to the Word not out of duty, but out of hunger.
To sit, to linger, to engage deeply.
To allow His light to surround you, His life to flow through you, His Spirit to ignite you, and His authority to rest upon you.

The Word is alive.
The Word is life.
And those who dwell in it will carry both.
