I was in Primary 5 when the mother of my childhood bossom friend died of breast cancer. I witnessed how his father spent enormous resources to save her life, but all to no avail. I was there for him at the period of his bereavement and mourning. I expressed compassion, empathy & sympathy for his family. Sense of humanity is so dear in my heart. Since then, the mystery of cancer often resonate in my mind & I often wonder about the risk factors and the mitigating factors because the reality is that every human being has carcinogenic tendency. The risk factors is what differs in each one of us. Cancer is a plague to human lives. We can conquer cancer with a unity of purpose.
