Thinking out loud
I was looking at this picture, and I immediately thought of God and our journey.
Thereās something about that open road that feels exactly like walking with Him.
We spend so much of our lives obsessing over the "destination" the big goals, the answers we haven't gotten yet, and where exactly this path is leading. We want the map , we want to know whatās around the next curve.
But look at this sheās not running. Sheās not stressed. Sheās just walking, hat in hand, soaking in the light.
Thatās the grace of it, isn't it?
See how sheās holding her hat instead of wearing it? So often, we carry our shields our need to control, our need to look perfect, our need to protect ourselves from the unknown like theyāre lifesavers. But God is basically saying, āPut it down. Let the wind hit your face. Trust Me with the elements.ā Itās a posture of pure surrender.
The road bends out of sight, and we donāt know whatās over that hill. Usually, that makes us want to slam on the brakes. But with God, the unknown isn't a dead end itās just the next part of the adventure. You donāt need to see the whole route to take the next step. You just need to know whoās walking the road with you.
Even when the landscape looks a little dry or the way feels long, thereās this beautiful, golden light over everything. Thatās His presence. He isn't just waiting for us at the finish line; Heās right here in the middle of the "walking," making the journey holy just by being there.
You donāt have to have it all figured out today. You donāt have to have arrived.
Sometimes, the most spiritual thing you can do is just keep walking, breathe in the air, and trust that the road beneath your feet is exactly where He wants you to be.
