Sameera, an Iranian mother, lost her 16-year-old daughter Sevda after security forces opened fire on protesters in Karaj, Iran, in January.
Sevda, who bravely protested for freedom, was shot in the heart and died instantly. Weeks later, Sameera fled to northern Iraq, where she encountered Christianity, was baptized, and said she found deep peace in Christ despite her grief.
She continues to speak out against the Iranian regime and says her daughter’s sacrifice must not be forgotten as she hopes for a free Iran.
