Matthew 26:69-75

How often, like Peter, have we denied knowing Jesus Christ when the moment to acknowledge Him arises?

I personally may not have denied Jesus directly with my words, but there have been several occasions where I could have shared my faith, and yet remained silent.

As I read today's scripture I understood that I am not alone, even the apostle Peter denied Jesus three times—not because he didn’t love Him, but because fear took over in the moment. Yet Jesus didn’t cast him away did He? No, He restored Peter, strengthened him, and later used him boldly.

So what does being silent say about me?

It doesn’t mean I am not a true believer.
It means I am only human—and still growing.

Faith isn’t proven by never hesitating. It’s revealed in who you turn to afterward.

Even in Romans 8:1, we’re reminded: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”
And in 2 Timothy 1:7 the Bible says that “God hath not given us the spirit of fear but one of power, love and of a sound mind”

So ask yourself..
Do I feel conviction?
Do I wish I had spoken up?
Do I still love Jesus and want to follow Him?

If you said yes to any of these, Friend, those are signs of life, not the absence of it.

What you’re experiencing isn’t disqualification—it’s an invitation.

Jesus is inviting you to...

depend on His strength, not your own
grow in boldness, one step at a time
trust that He will give you the words when it matters

Perhaps today…
don’t let yesterday’s silence define you.
Let it shape you.

Ask Him for boldness again. And when the next moment comes—you may be surprised at what He will do through you.
