Using What Is Given for God’s Glory
Scripture
Exodus 38:30 (NKJV)
And with it he made the sockets for the door of the tabernacle of meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, and all the utensils for the altar.
Every Gift Has a Purpose
This verse describes how the bronze collected from the people was used for the construction of the tabernacle and its altar. Nothing offered to God went to waste. Every piece of material had a purpose in the service of His dwelling place and worship.
This teaches us that whatever we give to God, whether resources, talents, or time, He uses for His glory. Nothing is too small or insignificant when surrendered to Him. Just as the bronze became part of holy service, so too our lives become sacred when placed in His hands.
The lesson is clear: everything we have comes from God, and when we return it to Him, He uses it to build His kingdom and to draw His people closer to His presence.
Reflection Questions
1. Do I believe that what I have to offer is valuable in God’s service?
2. How can I surrender my gifts and resources more fully for His purposes?
3. Am I using what God has given me for His glory or for my own?
Prayer
Lord God, thank You that nothing given to You is wasted. Teach me to offer my time, talents, and resources freely, trusting that You will use them for Your glory. Let my life be like the bronze in the tabernacle, shaped and purposed for holy use. In Jesus name, Amen.
