Holiness to the Lord

Scripture

Exodus 39:30 (NKJV)
Then they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription like the engraving of a signet: Holiness to the Lord.

Set Apart for His Glory

In this verse, the craftsmen completed the golden plate for the high priest’s turban. Engraved upon it were the words Holiness to the Lord. This visible reminder declared that the priest and his service belonged fully to God. His role was not for personal honor but for the glory of the One he represented.

This truth applies to every believer today. Through Christ, we are called a royal priesthood, set apart to proclaim His praises. Our lives should reflect the same inscription: Holiness to the Lord. Holiness is not about outward appearance but about inward devotion, showing that every part of who we are belongs to God.

When people look at our lives, they should see evidence of holiness, not perfection, but a life surrendered and set apart for God’s purpose

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for calling me to holiness through Jesus Christ. Write upon my heart the truth that I belong fully to You. Help me to live each day as a reflection of Your holiness, set apart for Your glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
