The Glory of the Lord Fills the Tabernacle

Scripture

Exodus 40:34 (NKJV)
Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

When God Dwells Among His People

At the completion of the tabernacle, God’s presence descended in a visible way. The cloud covered the tent, and His glory filled the holy place. This moment showed that God had accepted the work of His people and chosen to dwell among them. It was not their skill or effort alone that made the place holy but the presence of God.

This points us to a greater truth for believers today. Through Christ, our lives are now the dwelling place of God. His Spirit fills us, making us His temple. Just as the tabernacle was filled with glory, so too our lives are meant to reflect the glory of the Lord.

This verse challenges us to prepare our lives as a place where God’s presence is welcome and to live in such a way that others see His glory through us.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You that Your Spirit now dwells within me. Fill me with Your presence and let Your glory shine through my life. Teach me to live as Your temple, holy and pleasing to You, and may others see Your light in me. In Jesus name, Amen.
