Perhaps Today — Maundy Thursday
John 13:14–15 (KJV)
“If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.”
Devotional
On Maundy Thursday, Jesus knelt to wash His disciples’ feet—the King serving with humility. In the same night, He shared the Last Supper and chose love, even knowing betrayal was near.
This is the command He gave: love one another. Not in words alone, but in action, sacrifice, and humility.
Perhaps today, love like Jesus—serve quietly, forgive freely, and give without expecting anything in return. True greatness is found at the feet of others.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to love as You love. Give me a humble heart that is willing to serve, forgive, and care for others selflessly. Help my life reflect Your grace in both word and action. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
