At prayer today, I had a picture of the temple. I saw the curtain, but it wasn’t whole anymore, it was torn. The barrier that once separated people from the presence of God was no longer intact.
But what struck me most was this: it wasn’t just removed and left open. In its place was a curtain made of the blood of Jesus.
And there was an invitation.
It felt like a gentle but clear welcome, step through.
Not forced. Not restricted. Just open to anyone who was willing.
And as I stepped through that curtain, it led straight into the Holy of Holies, the very presence of God.
It made me realise something so deeply access to God is not casual, and it’s not based on our own effort. The way is still holy, but now it is through Jesus. The curtain isn’t gone in the sense of there being no cost, it has been fulfilled. The way in is through His blood.
Anyone can come, but they must come through Him.
Walking through that curtain felt like more than just entering, it felt like surrender. Like leaving behind my own striving, my own worthiness, and coming only because of what Jesus has done.
And there was no hesitation from God’s side. No resistance. Just welcome.
The way is open. The invitation is real.
Anyone who is willing to come through the blood of Jesus is welcome into the presence of God.
