To walk a tightrope, you have to keep your eyes on the goal and never look down or behind you. To walk with Jesus, we have to keep our eyes on the goal, which is His victory waiting for us when He comes back. We can't look at the ground (our mistakes) or at what's behind us (our accomplishments). The goal of the Christian life is to keep moving toward Jesus until we get to heaven and can walk with Him.

Prayer
Lord, I can't wait until You call my name and walk with me hand in hand. Help me keep my eyes on what You want me to be until that day, not on what I've done. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
