THE ADVENT TRUTH.
The Sabbath is not a vague spiritual idea. The Bible defines it clearly.

* The Sabbath is a literal day of time.
“Evening and morning were the first day…” (Genesis 1). God defines days by a full 24-hour cycle. The Sabbath follows that same creation pattern.

* The Sabbath was established at Creation, not Sinai.
“God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it” (Genesis 2:1–3). This happened before Jews existed, before sin, before ceremonies—making it a gift for all humanity.

* The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week.
“The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God” (Exodus 20:8–11). Scripture never transfers that blessing to another day.

* The Sabbath is a memorial of Creation.
“For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth…” (Exodus 20:11). It points us back to God as Creator—not to ourselves, not to human works.

* Jesus kept the Sabbath.
“And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day” (Luke 4:16). He never broke God’s law—He corrected man-made Sabbath traditions.

* The apostles kept the Sabbath after the cross.
Paul preached on the Sabbath to both Jews and Gentiles (Acts 13:42–44; Acts 16:13; Acts 18:4). Scripture never records a command changing the day.

* The Sabbath remains part of God’s moral law.
Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). The Sabbath commandment is one of the Ten—written by God’s own finger.

* The Sabbath will be kept in the New Earth.
“From one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me” (Isaiah 66:22–23). The Sabbath stretches from Eden… to eternity.

The real question isn’t what day feels meaningful—
It’s what day did God bless, sanctify, and command?
