EASTER FAST ADMONITION
FRIDAY, 3 APRIL 2026
There was once a woman who came quietly to a well in the heat of the day, hoping no one would notice her. She carried more than a water pot; she carried shame, regret, disappointment, and secrets hidden deep in her heart.
Then she met a Man.
Not an ordinary man. Not a judge. Not someone who mocked her or turned away from her.
She met Jesus Christ.
He looked at her, and somehow, without many words, she knew... He saw everything. He knew every mistake, every tear, every lonely night, every hidden wound. Yet His eyes were full of mercy
He did not condemn her. He loved her.
Her heart began to burn with wonder. The woman forgot her water pot, forgot her fear, forgot what people would say, and she ran back to the village crying:
> βCome! Come and see a Man who told me everything I have ever done!β β
And the people came.
They listened. They saw. And they believed.
For this was the very reason Jesus Christ came into the world
He walked among the broken. He touched the sick He comforted the grieving He lifted the rejected He preached hope to the hopeless and salvation to sinners.
But not everyone rejoiced.
The proud and religious leaders were threatened by His humility and truth. They could not control Him, so they decided to destroy Him.
He was betrayed with a kiss. He was arrested in the darkness of night. He was beaten, mocked, and led through the streets while angry voices shouted against Him.
Then they took Him to Golgotha.
There, between two thieves, they nailed Him to a wooden cross. Hammer after hammer. Nail after nail.
At nine in the morning He was crucified.
At noon, something happened that no one could explain.
The sun hid its face. The sky grew dark for three long hours. The earth trembled. Creation itself seemed to mourn.
Then, with one final cry, Jesus Christ declared:
> βIt is finished.β
And He gave up His life.
Suddenly the ground shook violently Rocks split apart. Graves opened. Fear fell upon the people.
His followers took His body down gently, with tears streaming down their faces They wrapped Him lovingly and laid Him in a new tomb. A huge stone was rolled across the entrance. Everything seemed over.
Silence.
Darkness.
Hopelessness.
But Heaven was not finished.
Very early on the third morning, before the sun had fully risen , the earth shook again. An angel descended from heaven with power and glory and rolled the stone away.
Some women came carrying spices and sorrow, expecting to find death.
Instead, they found an empty tomb.
The angel said:
> βWhy do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here. He is risen!β
At that moment, sorrow turned to joy. Fear turned to faith. Tears turned into praise. Hallelujah!
The risen Jesus Christ later appeared to His disciples in a locked room. They were afraid, confused, and broken.
Then He stood among them and said:
> βPeace be unto you.β
He showed them the scars in His hands and side. The wounds were still there, but now they were no longer signs of defeat. They were signs of victory.
For forty days He taught them about the Kingdom of God. Then one day, as they stood watching, He lifted His hands and blessed them.
Slowly, He began to rise into heaven
The disciples stood staring into the sky, tears in their eyes and wonder in their hearts.
Then two angels appeared and said:
> βThis same Jesus, who has been taken into heaven, will come back again.β
And He will.
One day the heavens will open again. One day every knee will bow. One day every secret will be revealed. One day the faithful will enter the glorious home He has prepared.
John the Apostle saw that day and wrote of the great throne of God, where every life will stand before Him. The books will be opened and the faithful will be welcomed into eternal joy.
Beloved Believers π«΅π½, this is the question before us today: Do you know the One who knows everything about you?
Do you know the One who sees your pain, your failures, your hidden battles, and still calls you by name?
The resurrection is not only a story from long ago. It is power for today.
Power to rise above sin.
Power to forgive.
Power to overcome.
Power to walk in victory.
Come to Him. Repent. Believe. Forsake every sin. Run to the risen Lord just as the woman ran from the well.
Come.
Come and see.
Scriptural Prayer Point
> βThat I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.β
Philippians 3:10
Our Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, I do not want to know about You only I want to know You personally. Let the power of Your resurrection live in me today. Break every chain, destroy every sin, revive my spirit, and make me faithful until the day You return. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and teach me to walk in victory, love, and obedience. Amen.
