Fear God Only Deuteronomy 31:12-1 Samuel 12:15 NKJV
Deuteronomy 31:12-13 "Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully observe all the words of this law,
"and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.
Joshua 4:19-24 Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they camped in Gilgal on the east border of Jericho.
And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up in Gilgal.
Then he spoke to the children of Israel, saying, "When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying,'What are these stones?'
"then you shall let your children know, saying, 'Israel crossed over this Jordan on dry land';
"for the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up before us until we had crossed over,
"that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever."
Joshua 22:21-25 Then the children of Reuben, the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh answered and said to the heads of the divisions of Israel:
"The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, He knows, and let Israel itself know-- if it is in rebellion, or if in treachery against the LORD, do not save us this day.
"If we have built ourselves an altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer on it burnt offerings or grain offerings, or if to offer peace offerings on it, let the LORD Himself require an account.
"But in fact we have done it for fear, for a reason, saying, 'In time to come your descendants may speak to our descendants, saying, "What have you to do with the LORD God of Israel?
"For the LORD has made the Jordan a border between you and us, you children of Reuben and children of Gad. You have no part in the LORD." So your descendants would make our descendants cease fearing the LORD.'
Joshua 24:14 "Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!
Judges 6:7-10 And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried out to the LORD because of the Midianites,
that the LORD sent a prophet to the children of Israel, who said to them, "thus says the LORD God of Israel: I brought you up from Egypt and brought you out of the house of bondage;
'and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out out before you and gave you their land.
'Also I said to you, I am the LORD your God; do not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell." But you have not obeyed My voice.'"
Judges 6:21-24 Then the Angel of the LORD put out the end of the staff that was in His hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened bread; and fire rose out of the rock, and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread, And the Angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.
Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the LORD. So Gideon said, "Alas, O Lord GOD! For I have seen the Angel of the LORD face to face."
Then the LORD said to him, "Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die."
So Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it THE-LORD-Is-Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
1 Samuel 11:3-7 Then the elders of Jabesh said to him, "Hold of for seven days, that we may send messengers to all the territory of Israel. And then, if there is no one to save us, we will come out to you."
So the messengers came to Gilbeah of Saul and told the news in the hearing of the people. And all the people lifted up their voices and wept.
Now there was Saul, coming behind the herd from the field; and Saul said, "What troubles the people, that they weep?" And they told him the words of the men of Jabesh.
Then the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard this news, and his anger was greatly aroused.
So he took a yoke of oxen and cut them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the territory of Israel by the hands of the messengers, saying, "Whoever does not go out with Saul and Samuel to battle, so it shall be done to his oxen." and the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.
1 Samuel 12:14-15 "If you fear the LORD and serve him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the LORD your God.
"However, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then the hand of the LORD will be against you, as it was against your fathers.
