I am doing a series of posts called Creation Speaks
“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.”
Psalm 19:1
“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” Romans 1:20
Precious Stones: Hidden beauty, formed under pressure
Precious stones are formed under extreme pressure, deep within the earth.
Hidden, unseen, and often in darkness yet over time, something extraordinary is being formed.
Their beauty is unparalleled
but it isn’t immediately visible.
It has to be uncovered.
There is something in creation that points so clearly to a Creator.
Beauty like that doesn’t happen by accident.
It speaks of intention, care, and design.
And yet, these treasures are not found on the surface.
They are hidden waiting to be discovered by those willing to dig.
Jesus said in Matthew 13:44 that the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.
There is a depth to the things of God that isn’t found casually it is revealed to those who seek, who pursue, who dig.
The treasures of the kingdom the promises of God are like these precious stones.
They are enduring.
They are of great worth.
They are not easily destroyed.
They outlast generations.
What God speaks and gives does not fade or diminish with time.
It only becomes more precious.
And just like gemstones are formed under pressure,
there are places in our lives where God is working beneath the surface.
What feels like pressure is not without purpose.
In His hands, it is forming something of lasting beauty.
As we press into Him into His Word, into His presence
He begins to uncover what He has already placed within us.
He refines.
He shapes.
He brings hidden beauty into the light.
Not harshly, but with care.
Not randomly, but intentionally.
And what He forms in us will not only endure
it will reflect His glory.
