I am doing a series of posts called Creation Speaks

“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭19‬:‭1‬ ‭

“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭

Silkworms – metamorphosis and surrender

Silkworms go through a remarkable process.
Inside their cocoons, they are completely hidden.
They are changing. Becoming. Preparing.

But here’s the tension if the moth begins to break free too early, it leaves a trail of broken thread. The silk becomes unusable.

Silk farmers understand this. They provide warmth and control the environment to ensure the cocoon completes its process. The silkworm finishes weaning but it never fully escapes the cocoon.

Isn’t this what happens in the lives of so many Christians?
We start the process of transformation, but fear, comfort, or the pressure of the world keeps us from fully maturing. We never emerge fully into the life God intends.

Romans 12:2 reminds us:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

The world has patterns, pressures, and moulds that want to shape us before we’re ready.
To fully mature to emerge as a vessel of beauty, strength, and purpose we must let God guide our metamorphosis.
• Transformation is not surface-level.
• Growth takes time.
• Full maturity requires surrender to the Word of God.

Just like silk is created only when the silkworm sacrifices itself completely, so too our greatest beauty and purpose are formed in surrender.
God demonstrated this ultimate surrender through Jesus the perfect sacrifice for our lives, our growth, and our transformation.

We cannot be fully transformed if we cling to the world’s mould or rush through the process.
We are called to move from spiritual infancy into maturity, from hidden preparation into full emergence guided by His Word, guarded by His truth, and shaped by His Spirit.
