Sharing my devotional for Matthew 6:34 (ESV)
Scripture: “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Observation: Today is more important than tomorrow. Hence, do not be anxious and do things one at a time We cannot control the future, but we are certainly in control of what we will do, say, or how we will react “now.” Focus on the present, and set aside tomorrow for tomorrow.
Application: I tend to get distracted from overthinking things that have not yet happened. Hence, I tend to miss out on a lot of things in the present. I must avoid doing this and seize the moment that I am experiencing now, so that I’ll be able to make lots of good and precious memories.
PRAYER: Lord, I lift up my current and future thoughts to You. Cast away my fears and anxieties for tomorrow. Help me to appreciate more the “present” and give me “hope” that good things will come for me and my family. “Peace” be with my heart, mind, and soul, in Jesus name, Amen!
