I am doing a series of posts called Creation Speaks

“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭19‬:‭1‬ ‭

“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭

Hailstones.

Joshua stood before an enemy far greater than his own strength.
Outnumbered. Outmatched. Facing a battle he could not win on his own.

But God had already spoken:

“I have given them into your hand.”

All Joshua had to do was trust.

As the battle unfolded and the enemy fled, something unexpected happened.

The heavens opened.

Not with gentle rain
but with power.

The Lord hurled down great stones from the sky.
Not small pieces of ice but crushing hailstones.

“And there were more who died because of the hailstones than the sons of Israel killed with the sword.” Joshua 10:11

God Himself stepped into the battle.

What Israel could not accomplish in their own strength,
God completed with His power.

These stones speak of a God who is not distant.

He sees.
He knows.
And He intervenes.

They are a picture of:
• His sovereignty over heaven and earth
• His authority over every battle
• His justice against what stands against His purposes

There are moments in life when the battle feels overwhelming.

When the opposition seems too strong.
When what you are facing feels beyond your ability.

But this reminds us:

You were never meant to fight alone.

There are battles where God says,
“Stand and watch what I will do.”

Sometimes victory doesn’t come through striving.

Sometimes it comes through surrender, trust, and obedience
and then God moves in ways only He can.

If you are in a battle right now, hold onto this:

God is able to step in suddenly.
He is able to do what you cannot.
He fights for His people.

And when He moves
it is powerful, decisive, and undeniable.

The heavens still respond to His command.
