God Reveals Your Purpose.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
One Sabbath morning, on February 14, 2004, I was scheduled to present a sermon to a small church in San Lorenzo, Gapan, Nueva Ecija, located in the Central Luzon region in the Philippines. This was part of my Master Guide Training—a training program for youth leadership.
While I was on the bus, my heart was beating fast because I was so nervous about delivering a message while still lacking experience with my sermon topic, “Finding One’s Purpose.” So I decided to pray, asking, “Lord, please reveal to me my purpose, and give me the answer right away.”
It was time to get off the bus and take a motorized tricycle to the church. Suddenly, I heard this tricycle driver shouting, “San Lorenzo, San Lorenzo!” That was the place where I was going.
At first, I ignored him for fear that something bad might happen to me. But then, when I got closer, he said, “Miss, I know where you’re going. Allow me to take you there.”
I was surprised to hear that he knew where I was heading, even though I didn’t know him, so I rode in his tricycle—and guess what? He dropped me off at the church. He even went inside and shared his testimony!
He was a former Seventh-day Adventist, but had backslid. He told me that when he saw me, he knew I was an Adventist because of my modest attire and a pleasant countenance.
Remember my prayer, “Lord, please reveal to me my purpose”? The tricycle driver was God’s answer to my prayer. God wanted me to learn a lesson—a lesson about faith, and how little things are so important. He showed me that my purpose in life was to reveal His character through my appearance, and that little things like our outward appearance can be a living testimony to someone who is seeking truth.
My faith was definitely strengthened when the Lord answered my prayer. Isn’t it amazing when God reveals your purpose, right away?
