Good morning
In Zechariah 11, we see a sobering picture: God raises a shepherd to care for His people, but they reject him. Even more painful, they value him at only thirty pieces of silver (v12–13) the price of a slave.
This shows us something deep: when people continually ignore God’s voice, their hearts can become hardened.
God desired to lead, protect, and guide them, but they chose their own way instead.
*Devotion:*
Let’s check our hearts today. Are we truly listening when God speaks? Or have we become too distracted, too comfortable, or too stubborn to follow?
God is still speaking. He is still leading. But He won’t force us, we must choose to listen and obey.
“So they paid me thirty pieces of silver… Throw it to the potter,” said the Lord. (Zechariah 11:12–13)
*Encouragement:*
Don’t take God’s voice lightly. Value His Word, respond quickly, and stay soft in heart.
Prayer:
Lord, keep my heart tender toward You. Help me not to ignore Your voice or take Your presence for granted. Teach me to listen, obey, and follow You daily. Amen.
