Good morning
âOn that day a fountain will be opened⊠to cleanse them from sin and impurity.â (Zechariah 13:1, NIV)
What a powerful promise, God doesnât just point out sin, He provides cleansing.
There is a fountain open for us⊠a place of mercy, forgiveness, and new beginnings.
This chapter shows us two deep truths:
*1. God Removes What Doesnât Belong*
God declares He will remove idols, falsehood, and everything that leads His people away from Him (v2).
Sometimes Godâs cleansing means letting go of things weâve held onto habits, mindsets, even relationships that pull us away from Him.
*2. God Refines Those He Loves*
âI will refine them like silver and test them like goldâŠâ (v9, NIV)
The fire is not to destroy you, itâs to purify you.
The pressure is not punishment, itâs preparation.
When God refines us, He is shaping us into something stronger, purer, and closer to His heart.
*Devotion:*
God is calling us today to step into His cleansing and trust His process.
Let Him wash you. Let Him refine you. Let Him remove what doesnât belong.
Because on the other side of the fire, there is a powerful declaration:
âThey will call on my name and I will answer them⊠They will say, âThe Lord is our God.ââ (v9)
*Prayer:*
Lord, thank You for the fountain that cleanses us. Wash us from every sin and impurity. Refine our hearts and remove anything that is not from You. Even when the process is hard, help us trust You. We declare today, You are our God, and we belong to You. Amen.
*Reminder:*
You are not being destroyedâŠ
You are being refined, restored, and renewed.
