Monday Morning Prayer: Responding to the Resurrection
Monday Morning Prayer: Responding to the Resurrection
(Matthew 28:8–20 – “The Christian’s Responsibility”)
Heavenly Father,
We come before You this Monday morning with hearts still stirred from the power of yesterday’s message. Thank You for the empty tomb, for the risen Savior, and for the life-changing truth that Jesus is alive. Your Word reminds us that the resurrection is not just something to celebrate—it is something to respond to.
Lord, just as the women left the tomb with fear and great joy, help us to carry both reverence and boldness into this new day. Let our faith not be passive, but active. Let our worship not end on Sunday, but overflow into Monday.
Father, You have given us a responsibility—to go, to tell, to make disciples, to live as witnesses of Your power. Strengthen us to walk in obedience to the Great Commission. Where there is fear, replace it with courage. Where there is doubt, establish us in truth. Where there is hesitation, ignite urgency in our spirits.
Jesus, thank You for Your promise: “I am with you always.” As we step into this week—into our jobs, our homes, our communities—remind us that we do not go alone. Your presence goes before us, stands beside us, and dwells within us.
Holy Spirit, empower us to:
• Share the gospel with boldness
• Love others with sincerity
• Live with integrity and purpose
• Reflect Christ in every conversation and decision
Let our lives be evidence of the resurrection. Let our words carry hope. Let our actions point people to You.
Lord, we respond today—not just with words, but with our lives. Use us as vessels of Your glory. Send us where You want us to go. Speak through us. Shine through us. Be seen in us.
We declare that this week belongs to You. Every step we take, every door that opens, every person we encounter—let it all be for Your Kingdom.
In the powerful, risen name of Jesus we pray,
Amen.
