Prepare the Way”
Text: Matthew 3:3

Matthew 3:3 speaks of a voice crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.” This is a call to readiness. It reminds us that God does not force His way into our lives—we must prepare room for Him.

The “wilderness” is not just a physical place; it represents the dry, confused, and uncertain seasons of life. It is often in those places that God speaks the loudest. But His voice calls for action. To “prepare the way” means to remove every obstacle—sin, pride, doubt, unforgiveness—that blocks His movement in our hearts.

Making His paths straight means aligning our lives with His will. No crooked compromises, no divided loyalty. It is a call to repentance, transformation, and intentional living. When we prepare our hearts, we make space for God’s power, guidance, and presence to move freely.

God is always ready to come closer—but the question is: are we ready for Him?

Prayer
Lord, help me to prepare the way for You in my heart. Remove every obstacle that stands between us. Straighten every crooked path in my life, and align my will with Yours. Speak to me even in my wilderness, and give me the grace to respond in obedience. Let my life be ready for Your presence, now and always. Amen.
