Good morning

In Mark 8, we see something powerful: people who see, but don’t truly understand. Even the disciples walked with Jesus and still missed what He was doing.

“Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear?” (Mark 8:18)

Message:
It’s possible to be around Jesus, hear His Word, and still not fully see Him. Spiritual blindness isn’t about eyesight, it’s about the heart.

There’s a moment where Jesus heals a blind man in stages (Mark 8:22–25). At first, the man sees people like “trees walking,” then later he sees clearly.

Teaching:
Sometimes our spiritual understanding comes in stages. God is working, even when we don’t fully see it yet. Stay close. Clarity is coming.

Then Jesus says:
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” (Mark 8:34)

Truth:
Following Jesus is not casual, it’s commitment. It’s surrender. It’s choosing His way over our own.

Devotion:
Ask God today to open your eyes, not just to see, but to understand. And give you the strength to follow Him fully, not halfway.
