The Lord Is Still on the Throne

BIBLE TEXT:
Psalm 103:19 – “The Lord hath prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all.”

There are moments in life when everything feels uncertain—pain lingers, sorrow deepens, and adversity seems overwhelming. In such times, one truth remains unshaken: the Lord is on the throne.

This declaration is not a denial of reality, nor is it an attempt to ignore the weight of our struggles. Rather, it is a bold affirmation that no situation, no matter how intense, has the power to shake God’s authority or overthrow His rule.

God is not threatened by circumstances. He is not confused by chaos, nor is He overwhelmed by the troubles we face. His sovereignty means that He reigns supreme—unchallenged, undefeated, and unchanging.

Yet, His sovereignty does not make Him distant or indifferent. The same God who sits on the throne is deeply aware of our pain. He sees, He knows, and He cares. He is present with us even in the darkest moments, working out His purpose in ways we may not immediately understand.

When we say, “The Lord is on the throne,” we are reminding ourselves that:

Nothing catches God by surprise. Nothing can alter His divine plan. Nothing can remove Him from His position
No matter how fierce the storm may be, God remains in control. His throne is not shaken by grief, adversity, or uncertainty. He reigns above it all, and He reigns through it all.

Therefore, let your heart be steady. Even when life feels unstable, God is not. His rule is eternal, His power is absolute, and His purpose will stand.

When everything else seems uncertain, remember this—God is still on the throne, and He is not losing control.

God's Loving Heart.
