Ashes to Artistry – A Story of Redemption, Purpose, and Faith
There was a time in my life when I walked in darkness… a place where hope felt distant and purpose felt lost. But even there, God saw me.
It was in prison that everything changed.
I remember the moment clearly — I knelt down and said,
“God, if You are real… change my life.”
And He answered.
Prison became the place where I met Jesus Christ — my saving grace, my life changer.
What felt like the lowest point of my life became the very place God began to rebuild me.
While I was there, God revealed something to me I had never fully known:
I am an artist.
He created me to create.
In that place, God began teaching me — not just how to draw or design — but how to use creativity with purpose. How to turn brokenness into beauty. How to take ashes… and turn them into artistry.
That’s where Ashes to Artistry was born — from a prayer, from surrender, and from His Word:
“To give them beauty for ashes…” — Isaiah 61:3
The journey since then has not been easy.
I’ve had to learn technology, step into the unknown, and push through moments of doubt and fear. But through it all, God has been faithful.
Today, I stand in gratitude.
Grateful for His hand over my life.
Grateful for purpose.
Grateful for the ability to create.
Grateful for this shop.
