LET'S TALK ABOUT IT.
WHEN RICH PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY POOR.
The Book of Proverbs 13:7
"There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches."
Some people look rich — but it is only a performance.
The clothes are expensive.
The lifestyle looks impressive.
The image is carefully maintained.
But behind the appearance…
there is debt, emptiness, anxiety, and spiritual poverty.
Then there are others who appear ordinary.
No luxury.
No loud display.
No desperate need to impress anyone.
Yet they possess something far greater:
• Peace of mind
• Wisdom
• Integrity
• Contentment
• A living relationship with God
In heaven's economy, these are the real riches.
The world measures wealth by what you own.
God measures wealth by who you are.
Ellen G. White captured this truth beautifully:
“Character is the only treasure that we can take from this world to the next.”
One day, many who looked rich will be revealed as poor,
and many who looked poor will be revealed as truly wealthy.
So before chasing appearance, ask yourself:
Am I building riches that will last beyond this life?
Because in the end,
true wealth is not in the hand — it is in the heart.
